Carefirst is currently being accepted at Serenity Psychotherapy Group, LLC. Please contact your insurance company to learn further about your mental health benefits, co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles and any other mental health related benefits.
Out of Network
At this moment, we are considered an out of network provider with all other insurance providers. The cost of session can be covered out of pocket or an invoice (superbill) can be provided to you for submission to your insurance company for full or partial reimbursement. Health Spending Account, or Flexible Spending Account can also be used to pay for the sessions.
Below are a few questions that can be asked from the insurance company to determine your mental health benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- What is the limit for therapeutic services coverage per year?
- Is superbill accepted for full or partial reimbursement?
- Is pre-authorization required for seeking mental health services?
Payment
We Accept all major credit cards as forms of payment. No cash or check is accepted this time.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that emergencies may happen and we grant our client’s one free late cancellations. Also we kindly request that if you are not able to attend a session, please ensure to cancel the outstanding appointment at least 24 hours prior to the time scheduled. After the first late cancel/ no show, the following late cancellations or no shows can result in a $100 fee to be assessed to your account.

Good Faith Estimate:
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical/behavioral healthcare will cost.
Under the No Surprises Act (H.R. 133 – which will go into effect on January 1, 2022), health care providers need to give clients or patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
This Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created.
